From Wednesday, July 10 to Thursday, 2024, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the "Economic Free Zone Day" at Songdo International City to strengthen professional capabilities and boost morale of officials involved in the Free Economic Zone Authority. Officials from eight free economic zones in Korea, including the head of the Industrial Base Office of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the head of the Free Economic Zone Group, the Incheon Free Economic Zone, the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone, the Gwan-gyang Bay Area, the Free Economic Zone, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone, the Gang-won Free Economic Zone, the Chung-buk Free Economic Zone, the Gwang-ju Free Economic Zone, and the Ul-san Free Economic Zone, attended the event. Participants participated in a variety of programs, including on-site visits to Inspire Entertainment Resort in Yeongjong International City, which recently opened, and training to strengthen professional capabilities of hands-on workers.
