On Monday, April 22, 2024, BMW Group opened an automobile R&D center in Cheongna International City. The BMW R&D center is located within the IFEZ Cheongna International City IHP (Incheon Hi-Tech Park, Urban Advanced Industrial Complex), has a total floor area of 2,812.5㎡, and has test lab facilities such as office space, maintenance and laboratory, certified laboratory, electric vehicle charger test drive, and laboratory. It will serve as a "BMW Technology Office" to certify BMW vehicles imported from Korea, support product development, and develop prototypes in cooperation with domestic companies, research facilities and universities.
