On December 27, 2021 (Monday), IFEZ signed a business agreement for Cheongna Medical Complex Town with the Asan Medical Center Consortium in Seoul. The consortium of Asan Medical Center in Seoul submitted a business proposal to operate the world's best hospital with 800 beds and move into medical bio research facilities with KAIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology). It also plans to establish Life Science Park, which serves as a research and development (R&D) hub in medical complex towns, and a "latest smart education center" to promote the excellence of the Korean medical and bio industries around the world.
