On Friday, February 7, 2025, the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) hosted a citizen-participatory “Walk & Run (WALK & RUN)” event ahead of the opening of Cheongna Sky Bridge (formerly the Third Link Bridge). Approximately 4,000 citizens took part in the event, with about 2,000 participants walking and 2,000 running across the upper deck of the bridge, enjoying a special and memorable experience. Participants experienced the new bridge one month prior to its opening, taking in beautiful ocean views and urban scenery from the marine bridge connecting Yeongjong and Cheongna. The event, attended by Yoo Jeong-bok, Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City, marked the first large-scale opportunity for the general public to experience Cheongna Sky Bridge, highlighting its potential to serve as a lifestyle-oriented leisure space in the future. Cheongna Sky Bridge (Third Link Bridge) is scheduled to open in January 2026. The bridge is being constructed as a 4.68 km-long marine bridge with six lanes (three in each direction) and will feature various multi-purpose facilities, including pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths, and an ocean-view observation deck.
