On Thursday, August 28, 2025, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) held the first meeting of the “Songdo International Eco-Center (Bird Habitat) Global Healing Landmark TF” at G-Tower in Songdo International City. The proposed Songdo International Eco-Center, a large-scale artificial wetland of approximately 177,000㎡ near the northern research complex of Songdo District 11-2, is scheduled for completion by 2030. Modeled after the London Wetland Centre in the UK, it will be developed as a global eco-healing landmark that combines ecosystem conservation, water purification, education, and eco-tourism.
