On December 28, 2023, (Thursday), IFEZ signed a land sale contract with Cheongna Medipolis PFV Co., Ltd., a business corporation of Cheongna Medical Complex Town, and Asan Medical Center in Seoul. With the signing of the land sale contract, the Seoul Asan Medical Center will start construction at the end of 2024 with 800 beds and will open in 2029. In addition to the Seoul Asan Cheongna Hospital, KAIST and Harvard Medical School (MGH) research institutes will be located in Cheongna Medical Complex Town, and Life Science Park, a start-up education facility, will be built to serve as a hub for R&D in the medical complex industry.
