On Tuesday, October 17 to Wednesday, October 18, 2023, IFEZ held an international forum with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Free Economic Zone. Under the theme of "KFEZ 20th Anniversary, Leap into Korea's Innovation Ecosystem City," the international forum was attended by representatives of eight special economic zones, gateway economy cities, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and officials from nine free economic zones nationwide. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and officials and experts from overseas cities and special economic zones discussed the direction of "innovation ecosystem city leap", shared the DNA of future cities, and discussed future technology-based development directions such as gateway economy and special zone cities, artificial intelligence (AI) and robots.
