Incheon (IFEZ) | Smart City International Symposium Successfully Held
The 2nd Smart City International Symposium: Smart Sustainable Cities & Societies, organized by IFEZ, was successfully held at Songdo Convensia on May 28.
More than 1,000 local and international experts attended the event, including Park Namchoon, mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City;
Park Sun-ja, head of the Land Infrastructure and Transport Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea;
Goncalves de Jesus, Portuguese ambassador to Korea; Park Sun-ho, vice minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport;
Yoo Byung-yoon, vice commissioner of Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority; Rahul Savdekar, director of CityNext for Microsoft; Emilie Potvin, director of public policy at Uber;
Jesus Almera, president of IPMA; and Kim Se-ho, former vice president of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation.
In his welcoming address on the topic of sustainable cities and societies, Incheon Mayor Park Namchoon said,
“The two key tasks needed for sustainability are innovation and sharing, which will establish smart cities as places where we can live harmoniously with one another.
I hope that this symposium will produce a new vision and diverse ideas to support sustainable smart cities.”
